Why Join Scouts?

Be Kid-Venturous!

Cub Scouting is fun

No matter what grade, it's a blast! Cub Scouts is an affordable activity for all. No youth is turned away due to an inability to pay.

Meet Other Families

Cub Scouting is a program that parents and children can do together while getting to know other families in your school or neighborhood. Cub Scout Packs are run by trained volunteers and parents like you.

Cub Scouts get awesome opportunities like:

  • Pinewood derbies and rocket launches
  • Camping and hiking trips
  • Field trips
  • Climbing rock walls
  • Shooting bows and arrows
  • Building lifelong skills

What Are Meetings Like?

We meet @ 7pm on Mondays, but if there’s No School, No Scouts

Den Meetings

(majority of the meetings)

  • For Den Meetings, Scouts wear their Class B t-shirts or hoodies
  • Opening Ceremonies for Den Meetings are held in Bingham Hall or the Courtyard, depending on weather. Scouts will gather with their den, and parents will usually observe from the back/perimeter of the room.
  • After the Opening Ceremony, the Pack will split up into dens. Dens may meet in different parts of the church campus depending on the planned activity for that day
  • Den Meetings are when you earn most of your Adventures, like building wood projects, playing games, tying knots, learning about our community, and even (for Bears+) learning to use pocketknives!
  • While Scouts work to earn their Adventures, the Adults will usually sit and observe, helping where needed. We love volunteers, so if theres an Adventure that your Adult would be able to teach, please let your Den Leader know!

Pack Meetings

(3 times per year)

  • For Pack Meetings, Scouts wear their Class A uniform (blue button-up shirt with patches, neckerchief and slide, and blue uniform pants or other dark blue pants or jeans)
  • Opening Ceremonies for Pack Meetings are held either in the Chapel, Sanctuary, or behind Bingham Hall
  • After Opening Ceremonies, Scouts will be called up to the front by Den, and they will receive awards for any adventures they have earned since the last Pack Meeting.
  • The meeting is finished when all Dens have awarded their Scouts.
  • Younger siblings are always welcome at all meetings, though we encourage parents to minimize meeting disruption as much as possible.
